Defining Happiness – A short cut to solve your life problems



Most of us encounter a lot of problems everyday. Tons of money, millions of people around and high-profile celebrity fame do not yield us happiness. So what is happiness? Happiness is a mental state of calmness and peace. . To have a peaceful life is what all of us endeavour at the end of the day. Happiness comes from within. There is no point searching for it outside us, in the environment we live in. 

As children, we are generally surrounded by loveable people. But as we grow up, we start facing a cruel and unacceptable world. Most of us, who do not know how to handle problems, face emotional trauma resulting in wasting of precious life time.

How do we handle this? You are not whom you are. Did you hear me right? Yes, You are not whom you are. When you face a problem, distance yourself from the person you are. Look at the person just as a mere character in the game of life, playing a role. When someone hurts you without a reason, look at it as a character played by you as being offended and hurt. This way, you will avoid internal sufferings.


Love yourself. Nobody knows you better. So don’t expect others to treat you well. If things churn out the way we want them in life, its good for us. To the contrary, if we suffer, we need to blame our own self for the suffering.
